Publication Ethic Statement

Andalasian Livestock, abbreviated as ALive, is a peer-reviewed electronic international journal. This statement clarifies the ethical behavior of all parties involved in publishing an article in this journal, including the authors, reviewers, editors, and publisher (Universitas Andalas). This statement is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Guidelines on Good Publication Practice.

Publishing an article in a peer-reviewed journal is an essential building block in developing a coherent and respected knowledge network. It directly reflects the quality of the authors' work and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is, therefore, necessary to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, the publisher, and the society.

Universitas Andalas, as publisher, supervises and monitors all stages of publication, and we recognize our ethical and other responsibilities. We are committed to ensuring that advertising, reprint, or other commercial revenue has no impact or influence on editorial decisions. Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM), translated as Research and Community Engagement Service Center of Universitas Andalas as the home of ALive, has the responsibility to provide communication and build partnerships with other institutions to develop the journal. However, they have no power over publication decisions. All the publication decisions are under the responsibility of the Editorial Board and are fair and confidential.

The validation of the work in question and its importance to researchers and readers must always drive such decisions. The editors may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editors may confer with other editors or reviewers when making this decision.
