Publication Ethic Statement
Andalasian Livestock is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, guided by the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices. We adhere to ethical principles to ensure the integrity, transparency, and reliability of the scientific record and expect authors, editors, and reviewers to follow these standards in all stages of the publication process.
1. Ethical Oversight
Andalasian Livestock upholds ethical guidelines for research involving animals, human subjects, and vulnerable populations. Research must be conducted in compliance with ethical standards, and authors must provide evidence of ethics committee approval where applicable.
2. Allegations of Misconduct
We take all allegations of research and publication misconduct seriously, whether they occur pre- or post-publication. Misconduct includes, but is not limited to, fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, and inappropriate image manipulation. When an allegation of misconduct is raised, we will follow COPE’s guidelines to investigate and take appropriate action, which may include retraction or correction of the affected publication.
3. Authorship and Contributorship
Authors should only include those who have made significant contributions to the research work and manuscript preparation. Andalasian Livestock follows the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) criteria for authorship, requiring authors to have contributed substantially to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research. Any disputes in authorship will be addressed following COPE’s guidelines.
4. Conflicts of Interest / Competing Interests
All parties involved in the publication process—including authors, reviewers, and editors—must disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Conflicts may be financial, institutional, or personal in nature and could influence the interpretation or review of the work. Our journal has a transparent process for managing conflicts of interest, ensuring that they do not compromise the integrity of the research.
5. Data and Reproducibility
To enhance transparency and reproducibility, Andalasian Livestock encourages authors to share raw data, codes, and research materials. Authors should include a statement on data availability within their manuscript, and data should be made available in public repositories when possible. This practice supports replication and validation of research findings by other researchers.
6. Fair and Rigorous Peer Review Process
Our journal uses a rigorous, double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and validity of published research. All manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who have expertise relevant to the manuscript’s content. Andalasian Livestock follows COPE’s guidelines for peer review integrity and provides training for reviewers to handle conflicts of interest and ethical issues that may arise during the review process.
7. Complaints and Appeals
We are dedicated to handling complaints and appeals related to the editorial process in a fair, transparent, and timely manner. Complaints and appeals from authors, reviewers, or readers will be addressed by the editorial team according to COPE guidelines. Appeals related to editorial decisions will be reviewed by an independent editor who was not involved in the original decision.
8. Post-publication Discussions and Corrections
Andalasian Livestock encourages post-publication discussions and feedback on published articles. We are committed to correcting or retracting articles if issues are identified post-publication, such as honest errors or ethical violations. Readers may contact the editorial office to raise concerns, and corrective actions, including corrigenda, errata, or retractions, will be taken as needed according to COPE’s guidelines.
9. Intellectual Property
Authors retain copyright of their work, and all articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike (CC BY-NC-SA) license, which allows others to share and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes with proper attribution. We are committed to upholding ethical standards in copyright and licensing, ensuring clear policies on intellectual property are available on our website.
10. Transparency and Integrity in Publishing
Andalasian Livestock is transparent in its editorial processes, including peer review, publication timelines, and editorial roles. We do not guarantee acceptance or specific publication timeframes, and we communicate any delays to authors. The journal does not display impact factor metrics from unapproved sources and adheres to transparent policies on advertising, direct marketing, and editorial independence to avoid conflicts that could influence editorial decisions.
11. Editorial Independence
Our editorial team operates independently, with full control over editorial content and decisions. The journal’s editorial policies are based solely on scholarly merit and ethical considerations, ensuring that manuscripts are evaluated without regard to the author’s nationality, ethnicity, political beliefs, race, or religion. Business interests, sponsorships, or advertisements do not influence editorial decisions.
